CARBOL FUCHSIN POWDER
Carbol fuchsin, carbol-fuchsin, or carbolfuchsin, is a mixture of phenol and basic fuchsin, used in bacterial staining procedures. It is commonly used in the staining of mycobacteria as it has an affinity for the mycolic acids found in their cell membranes.
Used for demonstrating acid fast bacteria and bacterial spores.
The dose of carbol-fuchsin solution will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label. Adults and children—Apply to the affected area(s) of the skin one to three times a day.
