It may also be used to prepare cobalt(II)-aminophenyltetrazolate coordination polymer and tricobalt complexes with mixed μ-acetato and μ-pyrazolato ligands. Cobalt(II) acetate tetrahydrate enhances the reaction rate of oxidation of 1,4-dihydropyridines using hydrogen peroxide to the corresponding pyridine derivatives.
