Metallic corrosion and scale controlling advanced formulated product for open and closed cooling systems.
Metallic corrosion and scale controlling advanced formulated product for open and closed cooling systems. A blend of phosphonate, and polymers incorporating dispersants. It is designed for the prevention of hardness deposition in recirculating or once through cooling systems using moderate to high hardness make-up water . RXSOL Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor is scientifically formulated from a combination of polymers to offer excellent calcium along with general scale inhibition in cooling water systems, even under extreme system conditions. RXSOL Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor is made up of halogen stable polymers that do not form insoluble calcium salts when added to hard waters.
Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor is halogen stable and can be used with oxidising biocide programmes. The product retards metal oxide formation, and passivates precipitation zones by dispersion.
The target dosage range is 3 - 5 ppm as PO4-3 in the recirculating cooling water.
Dosage Strategy
Rxsol Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor should be fed continuously to an area of good mixing. The product may be fed directly or may be diluted with good quality water and fed from a chemical dosing tank.
Performance Monitoring
Appropriate use of Rxsol Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor following the above dosing strategy should result in a corrosion rate of less than 2 mpy.
Test Methods
Phosphonate Drop test - Thorium Nitrate titration
Phosphonate UV photolysis + colour disc
