Hydrocarbon Cleaner Citrosolv TC 5000 is a biodegradable citrus-based solvent cleaner that effectively removes heavy and light hydrocarbons from refinery and petrochemical equipment, replacing toxic solvents with a safe, eco-friendly solution.

Hydrocarbon Cleaner Citrosolv TC 5000 is an advanced, environmentally safe cleaning solution developed for the effective removal of heavy and light hydrocarbons from refinery and petrochemical process equipment. It is a unique blend of biodegradable anionic and nonionic surfactants combined with a naturally derived citrus-based solvent, offering superior cleaning performance while maintaining worker and environmental safety.

Unlike traditional toxic solvents such as chlorinated hydrocarbons, glycol ethers, xylene, or toluene, Hydrocarbon Cleaner Citrosolv TC 5000 provides a safer, biodegradable alternative without compromising efficiency. Its natural solvent base with a pleasant citrus aroma ensures ease of use and operator acceptance.

This powerful formulation penetrates and emulsifies stubborn hydrocarbon residues, including benzene and other light or heavy end hydrocarbons, ensuring thorough cleaning of process vessels, pipelines, and associated equipment in refineries, petrochemical plants, and industrial applications.

Usage / Application technique

The use of Hydrocarbon Cleaner Citrosolv TC 5000 can greatly improve the flexibility, safety, and economics of refinery and petrochemical plant operations.

 

 

Application Method: Prepare the aqueous solution and circulate in a closed loop system through process vessels, pipelines, or equipment.

 

Operating Conditions: Maintain circulation at 180–190 °F (82–88 °C) for a period of 6 to 12 hours depending on contamination level.

 

Post-Cleaning: After treatment, the solution should be pumped to a designated disposal or recovery site. The cleaned system should then be thoroughly rinsed with fresh water.

 

Results: Upon inspection, process vessels are typically found in improved condition, with LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) approaching 0% and benzene concentration near 0 ppm, ensuring a safe and clean environment for maintenance or turnaround operations.
