Product code: RXSOL-34-8165-211
RXSOL Corrosion Inhibitor CI 3023 is a film-forming corrosion inhibitor
The product is intended to reduce internal corrosion of compatible metallic surfaces in oil and gas production and pipeline transportation systems.
Film-forming corrosion inhibitors work by adsorbing onto metal surfaces and forming a protective barrier that reduces contact between corrosive fluids and the underlying metal.
RXSOL Corrosion Inhibitor CI 3023, code RXSOL-81-8165-211.

Major Applications
|
Application |
Purpose |
|---|---|
|
Crude Oil Pipelines |
Internal corrosion protection |
|
Oil & Gas Production Lines |
Control of corrosion in production fluids |
|
Flowlines |
Protection of compatible carbon steel surfaces |
|
Gathering Pipelines |
Corrosion management during fluid transportation |
|
Production Equipment |
Reduction of corrosion-related metal deterioration |
|
Industrial Hydrocarbon Systems |
Corrosion control where validated |
Suitability for CO₂-containing or H₂S-containing fluids must be confirmed through representative corrosion testing. Inhibitor performance depends on fluid composition, temperature, flow conditions and metallurgy.
Dosage
Working Mechanism
The intended corrosion inhibition mechanism involves:
Surface Adsorption: Active inhibitor components adsorb onto compatible metal surfaces.
Protective Film Formation: A barrier film reduces exposure of the metal to corrosive components.
Corrosion Rate Reduction: The protective layer helps reduce electrochemical corrosion reactions.
Film Maintenance: Continuous injection may be required to replenish the inhibitor film under flowing conditions.
Recommended Dosage
|
Application |
Preliminary Dosage |
|---|---|
|
Continuous Pipeline Injection |
6–12 ppm, supplier-published range |
|
High-Corrosion Systems |
Determine through laboratory and field trials |
|
Initial Film Establishment |
Site-specific treatment programme |
|
Batch Treatment |
Subject to system design and validation |
Example: For a pipeline carrying 100 m³/hour of fluid, a treatment rate of 10 ppm by mass corresponds to approximately 1 kg/hour of inhibitor if the treated fluid density is assumed to be 1,000 kg/m³.
For other fluid densities, the required inhibitor mass flow changes accordingly.
The actual injection volume also depends on the inhibitor's density.
