Tank Cleaning

RXSOL Enviro 2000 Soft can be used as a general-purpose tank cleaner and degreaser where a water-based, non-foaming cleaning product is appropriate.

Pressure-Washing Applications

The low-foaming characteristics of RXSOL Enviro 2000 Soft make it suitable for use with pressure-washing equipment.

For pressure-washing, the appropriate dilution should be selected according to the type and severity of contamination, equipment and cleaning conditions.

Manual Cleaning

For manual degreasing, RXSOL's product information indicates that the cleaner may be applied neat or diluted with water up to approximately 1 part product to 15–20 parts water, using a cloth, brush or spray. (rxmarine.com)

For heavier deposits, a stronger solution may be required. Always conduct a small compatibility test before large-scale application.

Spot Cleaning

For spot cleaning, the product information indicates that RXSOL-20-3022-025 can be sprayed neat or diluted with water up to approximately 1 part product to 5 parts water, followed by a contact period of approximately 15–20 minutes and subsequent water-jet rinsing. Hydrocarbon-Freeing Applications

RXSOL Enviro 2000 Soft can also be incorporated into cleaning procedures following the use of stronger hydrocarbon/solvent-based cleaners, where a final water-based cleaning or degreasing step is required.

A versatile cleaner which can be used for Tank or general cleaning.

MANUAL DEGREASING: May be applied neat or diluted with water up to  1 part to 15 – 20 parts by using a cloth, brush or spray. After use as an engine room cleaner, bilge slops must be allowed to separate for at least 3 hrs before passing through an oily water separator.
Tank & BILGE CLEANING: RXSOL-20-3022-025  is recommended for any of the standard tank cleaning methods including ship motion, pressure spray washing and recirculation method after mineral, animal, fish and vegetable oils.  

Dosage

Application METHOD:- Dose Rate

1)BY WASHING MACHINE: For direct injection into tank This will require a solution strength between 0.03 and 1.5%, (0.3-15 ltrs per thousand ltrs of wash water).

2)BY RECIRCULATION METHOD: Working strength should be 0.05 and 1% ( 0.5–10 Litres per ton wash water ) by weight in fresh water, based on the capacity of the equipment. This solution can be re-used until no longer effective.

3) Spot cleaning. RXSOL-20-3022-025 can be hand sprayed neat or diluted up to 5 parts water and allow 15 to 20 minutes contact time to penetrate deposits. Finally, wash off with the water jet. The best results will be obtained when wash water is heated to 40-60° C.
 

Typical Cleaning Procedure

  1. Remove loose dirt and debris where practical.

  2. Dilute RXSOL Enviro 2000 Soft according to the contamination level.

  3. Apply by spray, brush, cloth or suitable pressure-washing equipment.

  4. Allow sufficient contact time for the cleaner to penetrate deposits.

  5. Agitate heavily contaminated areas where necessary.

  6. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

  7. Repeat the application for stubborn contamination if required.
