Product code: RXSOL-60-6605-186

PARAROSANILINE BASE FOR MICROSCOPY

Uses. It is used to dye polyacrylonitrile fibers. Pararosaniline is used as a colorimetric test for aldehydes, in the Schiff test. It is the only basic fuchsine component suitable for making the aldehyde-fuchsine stain for pancreatic islet beta cells.

Application

The basic fuchsin is a cationic triphenylmethane dye used for the detection of acid-fast bacilli and is commonly used in the Ziehl Neelsen staining technique. It stains mucopolysaccharides and glycoproteins. It can also be used to track proteins in acidic pH systems.
