Zinc Chloride is an ionic salt essential for the synthesis of cholesterol, protein, and fats. Zinc plays an important role in the proper functioning of the immune system.Zinc chloride is used in dry cells as an electrolyte. Other Uses - It is used as a condensing agent, disinfecting purposes, dehydrating agent, wood preservative, deodorant, and disinfectant.
Zinc sulfate and zinc chloride are used in a wide range of comparatively small-scale applications. The former is used in agriculture as a weed killer and to give protection against pests. It is also an important constituent of the precipitating bath in the manufacture of viscose rayon.
