GERMANIUM DIOXIDE 99.99%
Germanium dioxide is also used as a catalyst in production of polyethylene terephthalate resin,
and for production of other germanium compounds.
GeO is not well characterised. It is amphoteric dissolving in acids to form germanium(II) salts and in alkali to form "trihydroxogermanates" or "germanites" containing the Ge(OH)3− ion. Germanium monoxide.
Uses. When Germanium dioxide is 99.999% pure, it is used as a semiconductor in transistors, in diodes, and to make special infrared transmitting glass.
Germanium dioxide is also used as a catalyst in production of polyethylene terephthalate resin, and for production of other germanium compounds. It is used as a feedstock for production of some phosphors and semiconductor materials.
