HUMIC ACID
Humic acids are the organic substances that coagulate when the strong-base extract is acidified while fulvic acids are the organic substances that remain soluble when the strong-base extract is acidified.Humic substances are organic compounds that are important components of humus, the major organic fraction of soil, peat, and coal.Humic acid is a chemical produced by decaying plants. People use it to make medicine. People take humic acid for stimulating the immune system and treating the flu (influenza), avian flu, swine flu, and other viral infections.
Humic acid has been used to prepare stock solution employed in the following experiments:
Use 1 to 10 gallons per acre not to exceed a 3% solution of HUMIC ACID 10% to water. ALL CROPS: Apply 1 quart to 3 gallons per acre with the appropriate dilu- tion for adequate coverage. A maximum concentration of 1:10 HUMIC ACID 10% to water should be used for foliar applications.
