Tri CALCIUM PHOSPHATE LR
Tricalcium phosphate (sometimes abbreviated TCP) is a calcium salt of phosphoric acid with the chemical formula . It is also known as tribasic calcium phosphate and bone phosphate of lime (BPL).
Tricalcium phosphate is a supplement form of calcium phosphate and is used to treat or prevent calcium deficiency. Calcium is primarily important for healthy bones and teeth. Calcium is naturally found in foods like dairy, nuts and seeds, and dark, leafy vegetables.
An intraindividual comparative study of proximal tibial marrow defects in nine adult Goettinger miniature pigs (GMPs) was undertaken. The left side of the defect was filled with granular β-tricalcium phosphate (TCP) ceramic ad modum Cerasorb, and the right side was filled with granular α-TCP ceramic ad modum Biobase α pore. Simultaneously, dental screw implants were inserted in each ceramic and fixed
