CAFFEIC ACID (3,4-Dihydroxycinnamic acid)
Caffeic acid (dihydroxycinnamic acid), one of the most common phenolic acids, frequently occurs in fruits, grains, and dietary supplements for human consumption as simple esters with quinic acid or saccharides and are also found in traditional Chinese herbs.
Caffeic acid (3,4-dihydroxycinnamic acid) is among the major hydroxycinnamic acids present in wine; sinapic acid, which is a potent antioxidant. It has also been identified as one of the active antioxidant.
Caffeic acid (CA) is a cinnamic acid derivative, found in many vegetable products, with powerful antioxidant activity, the ability to increase collagen production and capacity to prevent premature aging of the skin.
