Product Application:

Valine is a branched-chain essential amino acid that has stimulant activity. It promotes muscle growth and tissue repair. It is a precursor in the penicillin biosynthetic pathway.

Product Dose:

daily requirement for valine was set at 10 mg · kg−1 · d−1 on the basis of nitrogen balance studies carried out in healthy adults (2, 3).

Product Note:

Valinemia is a very rare metabolic disorder characterized by abnormally high levels of the amino acid valine in the blood and urine. Infants with valinemia reportedly experience lack of appetite, vomiting, and failure to thrive.
