Strontium nitrate is used in the production of road flares and in fireworks. It serves as a colorant (red) in pyrotechnics and is also used as an oxidizer in pyrotechnics. It mixed with glycolic acid and used to reduce the sensation of skin irritation.
OXIDIZER that enhances the combustion of other substances. No occupational exposure limits have been established for Strontium Nitrate. However, it may pose a health risk.
