CargoClean HD is an advanced heavy-duty alkaline cargo hold cleaning chemical designed for bulk carriers and marine cargo hold cleaning operations. It is specially formulated to tackle tough and stubborn cargo residues, including petcoke, coal, soot, carbon deposits, fish meal and other difficult dry cargo residues.
The product uses a high-performance alkaline micro-emulsion cleaning technology to provide effective removal of heavy cargo contamination while helping reduce cleaning time and chemical consumption. When used with suitable cargo hold cleaning equipment, the dense foam generated helps increase contact time between the cleaning solution and contaminated surfaces.

1. Petcoke Cargo Hold Cleaning
Petcoke can leave heavy, stubborn and difficult-to-remove residues on cargo hold surfaces. CargoClean HD is specifically designed for demanding cleaning operations involving petcoke and similar dirty cargoes.
2. Coal Cargo Hold Cleaning
The alkaline cleaning action helps remove coal residues and contamination from cargo hold surfaces, supporting preparation of holds for subsequent cargoes.
3. Soot & Carbon Removal
CargoClean HD can be used for removing soot and carbon deposits associated with dirty cargo operations.
4. Fish Meal & Dry Bulk Cargo Residues
The product is also suitable for cleaning various dry cargo residues, including fish meal and other bulk materials.
Recommended Dosage & Application
For cargo hold cleaning, Wilhelmsen specifies applying CargoClean HD at 10% concentration in fresh water, equivalent to a 1:9 dilution of product to fresh water.

Application Procedure
Mix CargoClean HD with fresh water at 10% concentration (1:9).
Apply using an appropriate foam nozzle or cargo hold cleaning equipment.
Apply the cleaning solution from the bottom upwards to help maintain cleaning effectiveness.
Keep the surface wet and allow approximately 10–15 minutes contact time.
Wash down using a high-pressure water jet or suitable cargo hold cleaning equipment.
Repeat the cleaning operation where necessary.
Complete the operation with a fresh-water final rinse to remove remaining salts/residues.
Rinse the cleaning equipment with fresh water after use
It can be used as a general purpose cleaner to remove oil and grease deposits.
Using Procedure:
Spraying method:
Directly spray on the contaminated area and let it act for 5-10 minutes. Then clean the system under high pressure. A solution of 5-10% in fresh water can be used for this purpose also, and may be sprayed on and hosed off using high pressure with RXSOL-22-2226-025
After Rinsing if required follow same procedure to obtain best optimum cleaning surface.
Finally wash the entire hold with fresh water
